Handcrafted Earrings designed with Wire Weaving around Faceted Quartz Crystal Beads and Tiny Vintage Clear Glass Button
Wire Weaving, with its many twists and turns, takes a meandering journey around faceted clear quartz crystal beads. At the bottom are lovely vintage faceted clear glass buttons.
The glass buttons were beautifully made with facets and an x (cross) along the bottom of them. They catch the light delightfully. They were made anywhere from the 1930’s through the 1960’s. I like to imagine the garment they once adorned..perhaps a silk or nylon blouse with rows of tucks or other points of interest.The buttons acted as the “jewelry” of a garment, and with these earrings, they get their second chance to enhance!
The earrings measure 1 3/4” long.
The width at the widest point is 3/8”.
The French hook ear wires are handmade with 20 gauge gold filled wire. They have been strengthened in a tumbler and the little loops holding the earrings are soldered closed.
The wire weaving is a bronzy gold color.
Elegant, fanciful, and fun are words to describe these unique earrings.
