Handcrafted Copper Wire Woven Earrings with Luminous Mother of Pearl Buttons
Wire Weaving, with its many twists and turns, takes quite a journey in the creation of these wonderfully artistic earrings. Copper wire weaving in various patterns is attached to a frame in the back and the copper has been given a rich patina. There is also a protective coating applied.
The focal buttons are lovely thick white Mother of Pearl with soft inner luminosity. Using their shanks, I securely wired them onto the back frames.
The French hook ear wires are handmade with 20 gauge gold filled wire. They have been strengthened in a tumbler and the little loops and gold rings have been soldered closed.
The dimensions are:
Hanging length 1 15/16”
Widthis 1 1/8” at the widest point.
The weight is 3/4 of an oz.
