Handcrafted ART DECO Style Vintage Button Pendant Necklace
“Dancin’ In The Moonlight”
This is a pendant necklace designed with three lovely vintage buttons…
The top button is made of beautiful black glass with etched design and the shiny silvery finish known as Silver Luster, a fired on finish that has stood the test of time. The deco style design suggests the button is from the 1930’s to 1940’s.
Under the glass button is a metal button that I have flattened and used as a frame around and under the glass button.
The base button is a a gorgeous iridescent Mother of Pearl.
The glass shank of the top button is able to “sit through” center holes I have drilled in both the metal and Mother of Pearl buttons. The shank is then used in the strong connection process, allowing the beading wire to pass though. Please view the photo of the back to see the process. The buttons are strung together strongly and the beading wire is continued to the entire necklace. Only a little glue is used to keep the buttons centered.
The necklace features a lovely fresh water pearl surrounded by sterling silver end caps. Tiny pyrite stones attach the pendant to the neck beading.
The Lobster Clasp is sterling silver.
The neck beading is done with very tiny silvery glass beads, tiny black spinel stone beads and black glass beads.
The neck beading length is 18”.
The pendant measures 1 1/16 ‘ in diameter.
Thank you so much your kind interest!
